Oh, give me land, lots of land under starry skies above,
Don't fence me in.
Let me ride through the wide open country that I love,
Don't fence me in.
Let me be by myself in the evenin' breeze
And listen to the murmur of the cottonwood trees
Send me off forever but I ask you please,
Don't fence me in
Just turn me loose, let me straddle my old saddle
Underneath the western skies
On my Cayuse, let me wander over yonder
'Till I see the mountains rise.
Ba boo ba ba boo.(Andrew's sisters)
I want to ride to the ridge where the west commences
And gaze at the moon 'till I lose my senses
And I can't look at hobbles and I can't stand fences
Don't fence me in.
No.
Poppa, don't you fence me in

Hi everyone. I just love this old song by Bing Crosby and we should sing it every night around the campfire as we travel this country of ours. All you guys in caravans or tents, who appreciate being free and  away from the pressures of daily life....LET'S HEAR IT LOUD AND CLEAR and make it our nomads THEME SONG.
I would love to hear from you. Travel well and safe, Shanti

Water

Water.
It is wonderful to be quiet and let your mind wander and take in what you see, hear or feel. Sitting on my little veranda this afternoon, I was watching a small puddle of rainwater, caused by a downpour earlier. Even a tiny one on my wooden step was interesting to watch, as it disappeared, while I was sitting there.
Water, the miraculous stuff so needed by everything, to be and keep alive. Without water there would be nothing on this Earth.
Water, a combination of 2 gasses, Hydrogen and Oxygen, making a liquid, has always been a miracle to me, but that is creation for you.
Water is always coming and going, through rainfall and evaporation.
You know, the Creator was pretty cluey really, as we do not have to do a single thing to make it rain or for this rain water to evaporate again, so it can fall again and start a new cycle. In fact, if it was not for it being totally automatic, man would have more reasons to fight over another thing, being water. The holiday makers would want sunshine and dry weather all the time. The farmers would like it to rain during certain seasons for their crops to grow and the list goes on.
What made me write this little article, is to make you all aware of the amazing things that happen all around us, without giving it much thought.
I give thanks often, for the great gifts of Nature, which benefit me and all of us, to have a good life.
Just for short periods, take time out and rest, relax, be quiet and be at one with Nature.
Allow your senses to wander and observe what is going on around you, close by and further afield. Just step back from time to time and admire its multitude of happenings every moment of every day.
See the clouds, the rain bands, watch the lightening and hear the thunder, hear the birds singing, observe the trees, their movements and colours and the way they provide shelter and food for these birds and the list goes on, as it is so amazing!
That’s it; just go out and sit for a while in total peace and quiet and see and hear. Peace my friends, Shanti.
